Tullow Raises Cash Flow Outlook as Ghana Oil Production Improves

Tullow Oil has raised its cash flow outlook as stronger production from Jubilee and TEN reinforces Ghana’s importance to the company’s operations.

Tullow Oil has raised its cash flow outlook as improved production from its Ghana operations strengthens the company’s financial position.

The company’s Jubilee and TEN assets remain central to its current operating performance, with Ghana accounting for the overwhelming majority of Tullow’s 2026 capital programme.

Reuters reported that stronger production in Ghana, together with higher oil prices, contributed to the improved outlook. Tullow has separately disclosed that around $190 million of its approximately $200 million 2026 capital expenditure programme is allocated to Ghana.

Ghana remains at the centre of Tullow’s portfolio

Tullow has narrowed its African portfolio in recent years, including exits from Kenya and Gabon, leaving Ghana as the core of its upstream operations.

The company’s interests in the Jubilee and TEN fields have also been supported by extensions to the relevant petroleum agreements to 2040, providing a longer operating horizon for investment and production planning.

Improved field performance is significant for Ghana because Jubilee and TEN remain important contributors to national oil production, export earnings and upstream investment.

For Tullow, the concentration of capital in Ghana increases the importance of sustaining production reliability and managing costs across the two fields. The company’s revised outlook will therefore be closely tied to operating performance in the country.
