Towncrier Africa welcomes high-quality contributions from journalists, researchers, academics, policy experts, industry professionals and experienced writers who are passionate about telling Africa’s stories with accuracy, depth and context.
We publish well-researched, factual and original content covering business, trade, development finance, infrastructure, technology, energy, markets, climate, culture, sports and other issues shaping Africa’s future.
Submission Guidelines
- Your article must be original and must not have been published elsewhere.
- Facts, statistics and quotations must be properly attributed to credible sources.
- The article must be balanced, accurate and free from defamatory, misleading or unsupported claims.
- You must have the right to submit the content, including any accompanying images, charts or graphics.
- AI-assisted content, where used, must be thoroughly verified, edited and fact-checked by the author before submission.
- Recommended length is generally 800–1,500 words, depending on the subject and format.
Editorial Review
All submissions undergo editorial review before publication. Towncrier Africa reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, grammar, style, length, structure, legal safety and editorial consistency. Submission does not guarantee publication.
Contributor Policy
Towncrier Africa provides an editorial platform to amplify credible African voices, perspectives and analysis.
Towncrier Africa does not provide financial compensation, honoraria, fees or other payments for unsolicited article submissions. Contributors whose work is accepted benefit from publication on the Towncrier Africa platform, attribution as the author, and exposure to our growing readership across Africa and the global African community.
Where Towncrier Africa commissions content under a separate contractual arrangement, any compensation terms will be agreed in writing before work begins.
