Bloom Bank Africa Gambia To Host Maiden Breakfast Meeting On Trade-Enabling Infrastructure

Bloom Bank Africa Gambia Limited (Bloom Bank) is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Breakfast Meeting Series, with the first edition titled “Trade Africa, Trade Global: A Discourse on Trade and Trade-Enabling Infrastructure.” The event will take place on November 11, 2024, at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The event, focused on exploring the role of infrastructure in enhancing Gambia’s trade potential, comes at an opportune moment as the country strengthens its position in regional and global trade networks. The forum will convene distinguished leaders from the financial, public, and private sectors to discuss opportunities for boosting Gambia’s competitiveness and facilitating its deeper integration into African and global markets.

Participating institutions include the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS), the Ministry of Finance & Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment, the Manufacturers Association of The Gambia, the Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GiEPA), as well as local businesses, banks, and the wider business and investment community.

Commenting on the event, Alfred Amoah, MD/CEO of Bloom Bank Africa Gambia Ltd, said: “This event marks an important step in Bloom Bank’s ongoing efforts to foster economic growth in Gambia and across Africa. The event will also feature a panel discussion on the theme “Unlocking Gambia’s Trade Potential: Opportunities for Growth through Infrastructure and Policy.” Expert panelists will offer key insights on how Gambia can strengthen its trade infrastructure to unlock new economic opportunities. The forum is set to foster meaningful discussions and actionable outcomes that will significantly boost Gambia’s position in the global trade landscape.
