Bloom Bank Africa Liberia Limited (Bloom Bank) has officially joined the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Growth Accelerator Program as a partner.
The move was formalized at a brief signing and launch ceremony at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry last month.
The UNDP, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, launched the fourth cohort of the Growth Accelerator Liberia program for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs).
Bloom Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Lekan Balogun, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) solidifying the partnership. As part of the partnership, the bank will provide MSMEs with essential financial resources and technical expertise, enhancing their operations and contributing to the country’s economic growth.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Balogun expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating “MSMEs are vital to Liberia’s growth and development.” He further affirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting the initiative and ensuring its success. This partnership marks a significant milestone for Bloom Bank in its efforts to support small businesses and lead in fostering economic development in Liberia.
